The Filmmuzeum Biënnale will be opened with viewing of American filmcomedy "Floor below" comedy from 1918 with Mabel Norman. The film was lost until it was recently found by Dutch collector.
Fay Lovsky compose the new original score, she will play it live with her band (Fay Lovsky – vibes, xylophone, guitar, Casio, toy piano, singing saw and more, Marynka Nicolai - keys, harp, omnikord, Joost Belifante – altvioline, trombone, autoharp, percussion, Gert-Jan Blom - contrabass, Coc van Vuren – guitar, ukulele….).

De Filmmuseum Biënnale opent met een vertoning van The Floor Below, een Amerikaanse stille-filmkomedie uit 1918 met rascomédienne Mabel Normand - ‘de vrouwelijke Charlie Chaplin’ - in de hoofdrol. De film werd als verloren beschouwd totdat het Filmmuseum een kopie vond in de in de nalatenschap van een Nederlandse verzamelaar. De gerestaureerde kopie van The Floor Below beleeft zijn wereldpremière in het Muziekgebouw aan ’t IJ. Fay Lovsky componeerde in opdracht van het Filmmuseum een nieuwe score, die ze met haar band live ten gehore brengt.
